Strong Safeties Who Are Not So Strong

With these past few years in Madden I have seen a whole lot of personnel types. But one of the most unique has to be moving your CB to the safety position.  Depending on the team or the user it would be any corner, #1 through #5 .

The benefit that the move gives the player is another player who is fast, great coverage, and has good hands is on the field. And in the years of Madden 09-11 that has been a very good move to make. Remember the Madden 09 year. It seemed as if everyone tackled the same no matter who it was. Madden 11 that seemed to be corrected a little but it was still there. As of now theres no telling how Madden 12 will play out

But the main area where that tactic had its flaws is in the block shedding aspect. Cbs would be much easier blocks for TEs and lineman. The impact block of those players could result in much easier pancakes than if it were a legit safety in that spot. Not only that, it is much harder for a CB to get off a block (if they arent already face first in the turf)…..That alone evened the tables up in Madden 11 in my opinion.

In Madden 12 if the tackling is more geared to ratings than you will probably see the last of the Cbs at Safety change……………………………..or will we
